Vetiver de Guerlain is an "Eau de Toilette" for men with woody and aromatic notes. This is the first masculine fragrance from the Maison Guerlain, created by its founder, and which aims to evoke us in the middle of a field at dawn, in order to appreciate its humid and earthy aromas. This fragrance was created in 1959 by Jean-Paul Guerlain, who tried to convey to us the dualism of nature: cold and heat, balance and confusion. This essence is dedicated to a man who loves the rural, the smell of wet earth or damp leaves or the cold morning breeze. Unique sensations that only this profile knows how to appreciate properly. Its olfactory pyramid begins with fresh and citrus notes, such as bergamot, lemon, orange and grapefruit, causing us an impression very similar to the classic cologne of the time, but that aroma quickly disappears to give way to its most virile and intense notes: leaves of tobacco, pepper and nutmeg, spicy nuances that in the 50s and 60s were totally linked to masculinity. To finish off its trail, Guerlain includes sandalwood, patchouli and tonka bean, thus giving it a slightly more woody tone. - Top notes: bergamot, lemon, orange and grapefruit. - Heart notes: tobacco leaves, pepper and nutmeg. - Base notes: sandalwood, patchouli and tonka bean.
Guerlain is a French perfume house, among the oldest in the world. It has a large customer following, and has traditionally been held in high esteem in the perfume industry. Perfumes by Guerlain are often said to be characterized by a common olfactory accord known as the "Guerlinade". A perfume by the same name was launched by Guerlain in 1921.
