The evening primrose is a plant rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. The most important of them is the Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), which is one of the Omega-6 fatty acids. These substances contribute to a good cardiovascular, bone and hormonal health.
Where evening primrose oil plays its major role is in keeping women’s hormonal balance, regulating the symptoms associated with menstrual disorders and breasts inflammation (mastitis). This is due to the natural anti-inflammatory properties of Omega-6 fatty acids.
