It grows on the leaves of Nopales cacti brought to the Canary Islands centuries ago from America where it has been a staple food for thousands of years. It is rich in fiber, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc, which has been used in Canarian folk medicine and indigenous American peoples for hundreds of years. Instructions for use: Take 2 or 3 heaped dessert spoons a day mixed with water, milk, juice, smoothie, yogurt or other foods.
